Promotional terms

Simple referral credits. Clear transfer credits. No confusing fine print.

TurboProtest offers limited-time promotional credits designed to reward new customer referrals and eligible agent transfers. These terms are written to stay easy to read while protecting Edison and Madison Analytics Group Inc. d/b/a TurboProtest™.

At a glance

  • Refer a friend: you and your friend can each earn a $25 credit, subject to new-customer and program rules.
  • Agent transfer: eligible transferred properties can receive a $20 credit if a real transfer is completed.
  • Credits are promotional only, not cash, and are generally applied against eligible success fees after savings are achieved.
  • Credits do not stack on the same property for the same tax year, expire after 12 months once issued, and may be denied, capped, or reversed for fraud, duplicate claims, ineligible accounts, or misuse.

What each offer is meant to do.

Promotional terms and conditions.

1. Who is offering these promotions?+
These promotions are offered by Edison and Madison Analytics Group Inc., doing business as TurboProtest™. TurboProtest may update, limit, suspend, or discontinue any promotional offer at any time on a prospective basis, unless a different rule is required by law.
2. General rules that apply to both promotions+
Unless TurboProtest clearly states otherwise in writing:
  • promotional credits are non-cash, non-transferable, and have no cash value;
  • credits are applied only to eligible TurboProtest fees and not to governmental charges, pass-through costs, attorney fees, consultant fees, filing costs, homestead-assist fees, or other third-party charges;
  • credits cannot be sold, exchanged, gifted outside the program, or redeemed as payment to anyone other than the eligible TurboProtest account holder;
  • credits do not stack on the same property for the same tax year unless TurboProtest expressly states otherwise in writing;
  • if more than one promotion appears to apply to the same property and tax year, TurboProtest may apply only the single most favorable valid credit or require the customer to choose one;
  • TurboProtest may refuse, withhold, offset, reverse, or cancel a credit if it was issued in error or obtained through fraud, abuse, duplicate claiming, self-referral, sham activity, or breach of TurboProtest terms;
  • referral credits may be earned on no more than 5 qualifying referrals per account per calendar year, unless TurboProtest expressly approves a different limit in writing;
  • TurboProtest may cap the total promotional value applied to a single invoice, property, household, account, or tax year, including a cap of $125 in total promotional credits applied per household per tax year unless TurboProtest states otherwise in writing; and
  • all TurboProtest decisions on promotional eligibility, tracking, matching, timing, and application of credits are final unless prohibited by law.
3. Refer-a-friend offer: what qualifies?+
The refer-a-friend offer is intended for genuine new-customer referrals. To qualify for the $25 credit:
  • the referrer must have a valid TurboProtest account or another qualifying TurboProtest relationship recognized by TurboProtest;
  • the referred person must be a new customer who has not previously enrolled with TurboProtest for the same household, person, property, email, phone number, payment method, or other identifier TurboProtest reasonably uses to prevent duplicate claims;
  • the referred customer must use the designated referral link or another tracking method approved by TurboProtest;
  • the referred customer must complete sign-up and submit at least one property that TurboProtest accepts for protest services; and
  • the referred property and account must remain in good standing and not be flagged for fraud, duplication, or ineligibility.
4. When is the $25 referral credit actually applied?+
The referral credit is generally applied only after TurboProtest achieves a successful tax savings reduction on an eligible referred property and a success fee becomes payable. If no success fee becomes payable, TurboProtest may defer, reduce, expire, or decline the credit unless TurboProtest expressly states otherwise in writing. Once issued to the account, a referral credit expires 12 months after issuance unless TurboProtest states otherwise in writing or applicable law requires a different treatment.
5. Referral exceptions and disqualifying scenarios+
A referral may be denied or reversed if any of the following applies:
  • the referred customer is not actually new;
  • the referral is a self-referral, household referral abuse, duplicate account creation, or account-splitting tactic;
  • the referred property is never submitted, is withdrawn before acceptance, or is rejected by TurboProtest;
  • the referred customer cancels, is terminated, or is placed into bad standing before the credit is earned or applied;
  • the same customer or property is referred by multiple people, in which case TurboProtest may decide which referral, if any, is credited;
  • the referral was generated through spam, paid ads using TurboProtest brand terms without permission, misleading claims, coupon sites, bots, or other improper promotional conduct;
  • the referrer has already reached the annual referral earning cap or other program limit; or
  • the program was used in a way that TurboProtest reasonably believes harms the integrity of the program.
6. Agent transfer offer: what qualifies?+
The $20 agent transfer credit is intended for customers who move an eligible property from another existing representative to TurboProtest. To qualify:
  • there must be actual current or recent existing representation on file, or another demonstrable active representation relationship, for the relevant property and tax year;
  • TurboProtest must determine that a transfer is operationally and legally possible in that jurisdiction and at that stage of the filing cycle;
  • the customer must timely complete any required revocation, transfer, authorization, or appointment forms;
  • the property must be accepted by TurboProtest for service; and
  • the property and account must remain in good standing through the time the credit becomes eligible to apply.
7. When is the $20 transfer credit applied?+
The transfer credit is generally promotional only and is usually applied against an eligible TurboProtest success fee after TurboProtest achieves savings on the transferred property. It is not a cash rebate, signup payment, prepaid gift, or guaranteed immediate discount unless TurboProtest expressly says otherwise in writing. Once issued to the account, a transfer credit expires 12 months after issuance unless TurboProtest states otherwise in writing or applicable law requires a different treatment.
8. Transfer exceptions and disqualifying scenarios+
The transfer credit may be denied if:
  • there was no actual competing agent or active representation to transfer from;
  • the customer merely states they had another agent but cannot complete the required transfer or revocation process;
  • the prior representative relationship has already lapsed, been terminated, or is otherwise not transferable under local practice;
  • the property is submitted too late for TurboProtest to reasonably take over the matter;
  • the transfer creates duplicate filings, legal conflicts, operational risks, or unacceptable timing issues;
  • the property is not accepted by TurboProtest or is later withdrawn, cancelled, or sold before eligibility is satisfied;
  • the transfer credit has already been used for that property for the same tax year;
  • the account has already reached the transfer-credit cap of 5 qualifying transfer credits per account per calendar year, unless TurboProtest expressly approves a different limit in writing; or
  • the credit request is duplicated across multiple properties, accounts, or marketing channels in a way TurboProtest reasonably considers abusive.
9. Can credits stack together?+
No, not on the same property for the same tax year. Unless TurboProtest expressly states otherwise in writing, referral credits and transfer credits do not stack on the same property for the same tax year. If more than one promotion appears to apply, TurboProtest may apply only the highest single valid credit or require the customer to choose one. Different credits may still apply across different properties or different tax years if each offer's conditions are met.
10. What happens if fees are too small to use the full credit?+
If an eligible credit is larger than the amount that can be applied to a current qualifying fee, TurboProtest may, in its discretion, carry the remaining value forward to a future eligible TurboProtest fee, partially apply it, cap it, or let it expire under the program rules then in effect. TurboProtest does not guarantee indefinite storage of unused promotional balances, and any carried-forward balance remains subject to the same 12-month expiration timeline unless TurboProtest states otherwise in writing.
11. Do credits expire?+
Yes. Promotional credits expire 12 months after they are issued to the eligible account, unless TurboProtest expressly states otherwise in writing or applicable law requires a different result. TurboProtest may also impose reasonable claim windows or use-by periods for promotional participation.
12. Can TurboProtest change or end these offers?+
Yes. TurboProtest may change, pause, end, or replace these promotions at any time on a prospective basis. TurboProtest may also correct tracking mistakes, cancel invalid credits, revise eligibility standards, add or adjust program caps, or modify administrative rules to protect against abuse, inconsistent administration, or legal and operational risk.
13. Abuse, fraud, and program integrity+
Any misuse of the referral or transfer programs may result in loss of credits, account suspension, cancellation of services, denial of future participation, reversal of previously applied promotional balances, or other action allowed under TurboProtest's general terms. This includes fake referrals, fake transfers, misleading promotion, impersonation, bulk account creation, deceptive marketing, or any attempt to manipulate tracking or billing outcomes.
14. Limitation of liability and dispute handling+
These promotional terms supplement TurboProtest's broader service terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TurboProtest is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of promotional participation, tracking failures, referral disputes, transfer timing issues, or denied or reversed credits. Any dispute about these promotions is subject to the arbitration, class waiver, liability limitation, and governing-law terms in the applicable TurboProtest service agreement or website terms.
